Welcome to the second episode of DARREN VOROS - DEVELOPMENT DIARIES - The Development From Hell!
Canada is in the middle of a housing crisis, and I'm looking to alleviate that crisis one property at a time.
Development Diaries aims to show you the ups and downs, the trials and tribulations, the losses and the wins of real estate development. Big money, big problems, big risks and big rewards are all at play.
My focus over the last few years has been on development in the core of Toronto, taking advantage of the city's excellent zoning. Pretty much any lot in Toronto is zoned for a multi-family building.
We have been niching down on the "missing middle", which is anywhere from 8 to 10 units in our model. We have a massive year coming with 5-6 projects in construction or on the verge of breaking ground and we intend on filming all of it.
From small scale developments to multi-family apartment buildings, follow me on my development journey in Canada's biggest city. This is the Development Diaries!

8:26 this is above and beyond the normal payment.... so if I get $2000 in rent and I put that as an extra payment on my mortgage, a couple weeks later when my mortgage needs to be pay $1600, where does that money come from?? I'm just supposed to have an extra $1600 per month laying around?

Great video I live in California, but I'm looking to purchase more properties in Erie County New York and we have a duplex in Buffalo and we're gonna live in one unit while we fix up some other properties we have but I want to get a property manager cause I have no idea about the laws pertaining to snow removal, etc. and it just seems easier since we live so far away but yet we're only running The unit for about 800 so I'm kinda like dang there goes most of our profit giving up to property manager
